Job Description
A Mining house based in the North West region is looking for an experienced Chief Safety Officer
Duties:
- Ensuring compliance to the Mine Health and Safety Act 29/1996 and other relevant legislation
- Monitor and measure compliance to Safety Management Plan
- Promoting safety and health awareness
- Participate in High Potential and Significant incident investigations and ensuring corrective actions are appropriate and implemented
- Evaluating operational risks
- Carrying out inspections and reporting on all matters concerning mine health and safety
Qualifications/Requirements:
- ND / BTech Safety Management
- COMSOC 1&2
- Blasting Certificate
- 8yrs deep level mining experience, of which at least 5yrs in the safety department as a Safety Officer
